Three years ago we said good bye to one of the most influential post hardcore bands around. With both singers Wade McNeil and Dallas Green both gravitating more towards their projects. With Wade taking over from Frank Carter in Gallows and Dallas Green focusing on City and Colour, the band decided that enough was enough and that 2012 would be their final year. Fast forward to a week ago, a mysterious logo of Alexisonfire returns, with a date 03/09/2015…
The ominous message was one of good tidings for any post hardcore fans. The band have announced a run of festival appearances from Reading and Leeds in the UK to festivals in Canada along with American dates to be confirmed. Now this might be early to jump to conclusions, but there could be a possibility that if the shows go well a tour might be announced and if that was to go well, who knows maybe even a new album…
Although Reading and Leeds are decidedly incredibly mainstream and showcase a lot of the drivel that comes out and manifests itself as music in the modern day you have to give it to them that that is one fell swoop ensuring that the festival will definitely be sold out!
