Legendary Texan thrashers Rigor Mortis have announced they will be releasing a new album, and their final one 23 years after their previous effort, ‘Rigor Mortis vs the Earth‘.

The album has been titled ‘Slaves to the Grave‘ and will be released October 7th independently.

The album has been through a rigorous process to see the light of day, as no label would pick this album up for distrubution being considered as a bad investment – the band’sinability to tour behind the album and the tragic passing of drummer Mike Scaccia being key factors involved. But we will see one last hurrah from Rigor Mortis – and given the background behind this album it’s surely to be one for the thrash books! Little detail has been released on the album, but the cover is seen below.
