Having previously released two new singles Parkway Drive continue to confuse me and have released their third single from forthcoming album Ire.

Let’s get things straight first of all, “Vice Grip” as much as it might have sounded like a departure from the classic Parkway Drive that we all know and love was admittedly not a bad track, after this came second single “Crushed” which saw the band go further into the Bring Me The Horizon territory of using the first string of their guitars which brings us to “The Sound Of Violence“. Personally on my first listen it sounded like any form of the Parkway Drive ethos is no longer there and what has been replaced is a sense of generic riffing and screaming that any band could do. No doubt the new album will be selling like hot cakes, who knows perhaps the band can pull it out of the bag! Listen to the track see what you think!

Parkway Drive are set to release their brand new album IRE on September 25th via Epitaph.
