Trioscapes a peculiar band that have released only the one album but have now announced that they will be releasing “Digital Dream Sequence” their sophomore album just around the corner on August 19th via Metal Blade. Think of it what you will but it’s pretty out there. It seems to be a common trend to involve the saxophone more and more in metal these days, we’ve had Tesseract, The Faceless and even Napalm Death experimenting with it. Trioscapes are made up of BTBAM bassist extraordinaire Dan Briggs, Matt Lynch on drums and the perfect name for a sax player Walter Falcourt. They’ve debuted “Stabwound” and it’s chock full of progressive madness, one thing that is notable is how distorted Briggs bass is giving the song a real overall meaty feeling.
