Yesterday after performing their April 11th show in Chicago, IL it was announced that the band had indeed had their van stolen. Following the recent news that Dark Sermon also had their van stolen in the Florida area, now slightly harder to recoup was King Parrot’s contents from the van itself. Containing their takings from shows along with merch, valuables. After realising that they had actually had their van stolen the band jumped onto Facebook explaining the current situation and appealing for donations.

Here is where the story is more heart warming. The metal community has always been one of strong bonds and it seems that when help is asked of us we give it no problem. Now that the band have reached their goal and that they have indeed recouped their earnings that were lost when the van was robbed. Asking for no more donations the Aussies have now broken even. Though Kickstarter and Go Fund Me may be criticized for the way that they operate but in this modern age it is fantastic that bands are able to get the help from their fans that truly makes a difference to both them and the fans!

King Parrot are currently on their US tour supporting Weedeater.
