Earlier today we posted a picture that was from Gojira‘s Instagram, though speculating we thought that it might have an example of the band in the studio we can now not only confirm but it was also announced that front man Joe Duplantier will be opening his studio doors to the public. The new studio, Silver Cord Studio is based in New York and will be run by Gojira front man Joe Duplantier. Though currently he will be producing the sixth new Gojira album the studio will be opening its doors come June 6th!

It will be open to artists, producers and bands, owned and run by Duplantier. This is not only great news meaning that we definitely have concrete confirmation that the recording of the new record is under way and that Duplantier may well be making a name for himself not only through his band, but also production. Could this studio well be constructed solely for the purpose of recording the bands new album, along with of course renting out later to others to make it a financially viable venture? The video also features some pretty cool drum work, though only audio, who knows they might be used on the new album itself!
