Entrails Announce New Studio Album

Among so many other fantastic releases to be hitting the proverbial shelves this year, we now have yet another to add to the ranks. Sweden’s finest Entrails will be releasing their brand new album Obliteration. If you’re not familiar with the band they are classic old school swedish death metal. Similar to Entombed, Dismember and their ilk the band thrive on gritty buzz saw death metal.

Obliteration see’s the band release their fourth full length with a total of 10 tracks, the album was recorded by the bands own Jimmy Lundqvist at his own Bloodshed Studios, whilst mixing and mastering was handled by the hallowed Dan Swano at Unisound. Responsible for some of swedish death metal’s best bands, featuring Aeon, Edge Of Sanity, Bloodbath etc… This will surely do nothing but help the band.

Lundqvist states :

“Finally, we can unleash this beast named Obliteration to the fans out there, this time with a more driven and raw style that shall taste good to everyone’s ears if you’re into the older simplified death metal that we prefer to play. Recorded in our own Bloodshed Studios and mixed by the mighty Dan Swanö nothing else but slabby Swedeath can be served.

It sounds as though this will be the bands most focused attack yet, having joined Metal Blade in 2012 the group previously released Raging Death their label debut along with a re-release of old demo’s last year Resurrected From The Grave. The band have also made their first single available to stream. The aptly titled “Beyond The Flesh” serves us a rust coated, riff heavy death metal gem. Along with a short but sweet solo in the mid section, most definitely a great example of just what we can expect from the swede’s on their new album.
