After supporting Cattle Decapitation for their short run of tour dates in the US earlier this year, Theories unleashed their own brand of death grind. Taking elements from both genres to form something really quite unique. The band debuted first track “Cycle Of Decay” and now we’re proud to say that there is more Theories material coming our way before the album release on March 23rd (Metal Blade).
Premiering their brand new song “Burnt Concrete” we’re shown another facet of the deathgrind troupe. Their attack not lessening one iota, the song is a straight for the throat ordeal. Opening the new album Regression, the song bursts forth and the album is much of the same. Creating a visceral deathgrind album who’s tracks are each just as devastating as the rest. Whilst Theories also create devisely threatening music there is an essence of youth in the music, the young brash “I’ll do it my way”, kind of attitude, reverberates through the music. It also helps that the album was mixed by Scott Hull part of the abrasive grindcore legends Pig Destroyer…
