Ahead of the release of Soilwork‘s brand new live album next week the band have made another new track available for your viewing pleasure. Recorded when the band performed a special show almost a year ago on March 21st at Circus Club in Helsinki. This is the second track to be released from the upcoming live CD/DVD following the incendiary “This Momentary Bliss“. Its also worth taking into account, that this is the band’s twentieth anniversary. Forming in 1995 the band was a staple for melodic metal. Produced by Jouni Markkanen and directed by Ville Lipiainen who has worked with Nightwish previously. A strong performance throughout the band are on top of their game, set to release a brand new album this year, this could be their biggest year yet!
Frontman Bjorn “Speed” Strid commented on the release :
“There could’ve not been a better time than now, with 10 albums out and a very varied back catalogue to choose from. Our line up now is 50 % original members and 50 % fresh blood, which makes it all more interesting. Especially since the newest members have brought so much to our sound and have continued to inspire us to write new and exciting music and also brought a new found energy on stage. Now is definitely the time to see us. Trust me.”
With their new release containing two discs, comprised of 23 tracks, along with DVD’s detailing the bands history along with the live performance of the tracks themselves. Its one hell of a package to get if you’re a fan, not to mention a fantastic way to commemorate twenty years of being a band.
