After the critically acclaimed Waiting For The End To Come it was announced that Kataklysm had entered the studio to record their latest work. Now we can happily say that the band has finished the work on the new album. In true Kataklysm fashion the album is titled Of Ghosts And Gods, penned for an August 3rd release via Nuclear Blast. Our favourite producer Mark Lewis returns (Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel) , producing vocals, whilst guitars were all tracked by J-F Dagenais. To finish off the process the final cut of the album will be mixed by the hallowed Andy Sneap, responsible in the past for Megadeth, Amon Amarth and Testament to name but a few!

When asked about the new release the band are confident that it will stand strong against the band’s previous catalogue :

“We haven’t been this excited to release an album in a very long time , “Of Ghosts & Gods ” is set to stand alongside the bands classic records like Serenity in Fire and In the arms of Devastation it  has all the elements that make Kataklysm the force that it is with unrelenting power, melodic hooks , extreme passages and the head stomping grooves Kataklysm is well known for, plus it  jumps into new territory in the true nature of the band’s adventurous exploits to push the limit, the end result will be our fans head banging with their horns in the air and shouting the hymns – and that’s our satisfaction right there.” 

The band continues :

The new album is finished being recorded and will travel into the very capable hands of legendary producer Andy Sneap this month for the final mix and production work. We will be hitting the road this summer with a string of Open-Airs in support of the album. This is a determined Kataklysm like you’ve never seen before,, be ready \m/”

Following this excellent news the band have also announced that they will be appearing at various festival dates throughout the summer. With 2013’s Waiting For The End To Come, Kataklysm upped their game, brining their signature heavy riffing into a more modern approach the band not only wowed their fans but expanded their already large fan base. So if Of Ghosts and Gods is set to do even more then we cant wait!

Kataklysm’s brand new album Of Ghosts And Gods is set for an August 3rd release date via Nuclear Blast!
