Following the reactions of fans from their first single “Motherfucker” it seems that though some fans loved the new material, others hadn’t warmed to the song as much as first thought. However personally I believe that the song is a fantastic introduction to Faith No More in 2015. With it being 19 years since their last record, there’s a huge gap between the band that will be filled. Now lucky for us The Radio One Rock show premiered a brand new song exclusively called “Superhero“.
Rooted much more in the classic Faith No More style, “Epic” springs to mind, the song fits perfectly in their back catalogue. Being quintessentially the stadium worthy Faith No More sound, yet bringing a new age quality. The hammer of the drums suggest that the song is as big as they get, mixed in with the subtle piano keys. With the members saying that the song had a superhero vibe to it, the name was born.
Whilst you can listen to the latest slab of excellence from the band they have also released the artwork for the brand new album. Seen in the YouTube clip below it fits the profile of Faith No More‘s modus operandi.
