In Flames, All That Remains and Wovenwar Tour North America In 2015

Yet another tour announced in the last couple of days, following on from our excellent announcement of the MetalSucks sponsored super tour of the year something different this way comes. All three bands have seen various degrees of positivity in their career, In Flames flying the flag for melodic death metal and that quintessential Gothenburg sound. Not this year however, with the severely lacking new album Siren Charms many deem it to be one of In Flames weakest efforts to date and a far cry from where the band began, depiste this the band will go on a month long tour. Bringing with them All That Remains which again carries on this theme of “used to be great, now not so”. Releasing the terrible radio friendly A War You Cannot Win back in 2012 All That Remains have announced their return with the arrival The Order Of Things.

I really did love All That Remains but if new single “No Knock” is a sign of things to come then I might have to throw in the towel. Rounding off the trio is Wovenwar, the lesser of the two previously mentioned evils. After the demise of As I Lay Dying Wovenwar was borne out of the previous members of AILD deciding to carry on but change their sound completely. With a new band a new singer Shane Blay of Oh Sleeper fame its a perfect rebrand, the music they write is slick and catchy but not to my taste whatsoever with a small element of the dreaded sell out.

So if these three bands are your kind of deal then no doubt you’ll head out. There are many far better tours going however it should be said. A mainstream fest like this will no doubt sell enough tickets, it’s just a shame that these are three bands that used to be in their prime and now have fallen slightly from grace…
