Everyone’s getting into the festive mood, us here at The Metalist have been continuing our Advent Of The Year recap of the years finest albums and while people were busy putting up their decorations Iron Maiden could be busy doing something of their own. Earlier today an image sent to the Iron Maiden fan club was released showing a festive Eddie leering outside of a snowy shack with the title “Studio” inside we can see a drum room and mixing desk etc… To make this even more of a random image there are Ninja’s atop the cabin and to top it off a sign post that says UROTON 51.

Speculation has been rife within the metal community today, ideas that the ninja’s could symbolise secrecy or as plain as perhaps there’s something to do with Japan. I would opt for the first choice… There has also been debate about what UROTON 51 could mean, an anagram of ON TOUR ’15 or perhaps NO TOUR ’15? Who knows. Add to that the inside of the Christmas card :

“Eddie’s got a little Christmas gift for everyone who’s been REALLY BAD! Must not be opened until 2015… Merry Christmas from Iron Maiden“

Whatever it is something will be occurring in the Iron Maiden camp next year, now we must all play the waiting game, although I’m sure we will find out soon enough!
