One of death metal’s best bands in the game seem to have the worst luck. Having just begun a US tour in support of the excellent Blood Mantra, Decapitated were involved in an accident on October 24th whilst on their way to their next show in Lousiana. Luckily the band are all ok and stated that “two persons were hospitalised and released after a few hours and we will continue our tour with American Sharks and GWAR. This time we were lucky.” A close shave, given that their last tragic accident claimed the life of esteemed drummer Witold “Vitek” Kieltyka and rendered their then singer Covan requiring constant 24 hour care.
It seems that someone seriously has it out for this band, all of us here at The Metalist are glad the band are fine and are continuing with their touring schedule as planned. Be sure to catch Decapitated at their next show in London in December with Behemoth.
