It appears that Dani Filth likes to keep himself busy. On the heels of a new album from his project Devilment, Cradle of Filth has announced that they will be entering to record a follow-up to 2012’s ‘The Manticore and Other Horrors‘.
After the band’s extensive tour of Russia this month, the band will head to the studio to record their 11th studio album under the working title ‘The Hammer of the Witches‘. The album should see the light of day around June next year, but Cradle aren’t afraid of posting album updates and other pre-release goodies, so expect frequent posting in the build up to the album.
Cradle are one of the few bands to be relatively consistent with their releases in recent years, albeit not being able to match the early acclaimed glory days of releases like ‘Dusk and Her Embrace‘ or ‘Cruelty and the Beast‘. We can expect something good from ‘Hammer of the Witches‘ though, the band seemed to learn their lesson of attempting radio friendly tracks with the universal panning of the album ‘Thornography‘.
Stay tuned from more album updates!
