Abysmal Dawn have released a new song from their forthcoming album Obsolescence, with their new song “The Inevitable Return To Darkness” we see that Abysmal Dawn are going for a faster paced and a lot more progressive attack on this new single compared to the sounds that we heard previously on their first single “Inanimate“. Their signature groove oozes throughout the song, courtesy of interesting drum patterns making already crushing riffs even heavier, not to mention the break that would make even the most opinionated of the death metal elite bang their head. Add in the melodic death metal tasting solo towards the songs end, which in turn ushers in a new riff altogether and brings the song to a dissonant zenith whilst petering out with harmonic guitars.  All signs seem to point that Obsolescence will be one of the real surprises of the year, its easily the best album of their career that see’s them perfect their craft and hopefully will get them the attention that they have so very much deserved all these years!
