Taiwan is not a country generally known for it’s metal, but with the rise of Chthonic – it seems like quite a scene is rising in the country with the emergence of Anthelion, another symphonic black metal band.
Anthelion have actually been around for quite some time, since 2001 to be precise and have quite a number of their releases under their belt. Being from a similar genre as the ever popular Chthonic however it mght be a case of playing under their shadow. Or maybe that they have never reportedly burned a church?
All aside and after a short hiatus, Anthelion have released a new song and video demonstrating their more melodic side. The track is entitled ‘Obsidian Plume’ and can be heard below:
