It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from the veteran Norwegian black metallers, but the band have updated us with the band’s happenings in an interview with MetalUnderground.at.
Seems like the band is thinking about a new album, but not rushing anything yet. See what the bands frontman Sigurd ‘Satyr’ Wongraven had to say below:
“The way we usually do things in Satyricon is that we separate touring from writing, so [being on the road] is what we do right now and at some point in a few months, we’ll probably start looking into the beginning of the shaping of a new album, but that’s gonna take some time. We try and focus on what we do at the moment. So let’s say when we’re in songwriting mode, that’s really what we do and we’ll do a few shows here and there to make sure that we maintain our form as a live band. But this is what we do now. And we enjoy it a lot.”
So we still have a while to go before we can start to get some updates about new music, but we know that Satyricon hasn’t just disappeared – and that’s a good thing!
