German pioneers of industrial metal, Megaherz, have unveiled their second single, “Engelsgesicht” (EN: “Angel face”). The band’s forthcoming album, titled In Teufels Namen (EN: “In the Devil’s Name”), is scheduled for release on August 11 through Napalm Records.
As one of the most influential German industrial metal bands and co-founders of Neue Deutsche Härte, Megaherz has amassed millions of views on YouTube and achieved a peak charting position of #7 with their 2018 album, Komet (Official German Album Charts).
With their emotionally charged track “Engelsgesicht” (EN: “Angel face”), Megaherz continues the legacy of one of their greatest hits, “Miststück” (EN: “Bitch”), which has garnered over 2.5 million streams on Spotify. Accompanied by a metaphorical and captivating music video, the single showcases the band’s artistic prowess.

The new album by Megaherz commences powerfully with the epic title track, “In Teufels Namen” (EN: “In the Devil’s Name”), offering a critical perspective on the church as an institution. On “Der König Der Dummen” (EN: “The King Of The Fools”), one of the heaviest songs on the record, the quintet boldly addresses conspiracy theorists donning tinfoil hats. The mesmerizing track “Amnesie” (EN: “Amnesia”) relies heavily on electronic-inspired beats and melodies, while the anthem of the free-spirited, “Freigeist,” features infectious synths and a sing-along chorus. “Rabenherz” (EN: “Raven Heart”) and “Engelsgesicht” (EN: “Angel face”) showcase the band’s emotional depth, with the latter reminiscent of their timeless hit, “Miststück” (EN: “Bitch”). “Menschenhasser” delivers a powerful and fast-paced Neue Deutsche Härte experience, followed by the reflective breather, “Ich Hasse (Epilog)” (EN: “I Hate (Epilogue)”), featuring poignant keys.
