Watching the German metalcore outfit’s new video ‘Back’, I couldn’t help but make a weird comparison…

Honestly I hadn’t heard of Vitja before a sleepless night scrolling through YouTube, and it was probably a rest-deprived brain that suggested that the new track sounded like those pop-rockers we love to hate, Panic! At The Disco.

But listening to it again and again, I just can’t deny that I feel that Vitja are what Panic! At The Disco would sound like if the went metal. Perhaps it’s the similar suburban high school boy vocals they share, maybe that both ‘Back’ and ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ are in a similar if not the same key.

Perhaps I just need to stop scrolling through music videos in the middle of the night and make weird interpretations.
