It seems that it is true, from the sounds of it, CJ is back in Thy Art Is Murder.
Releasing their previous record Holy War, the band embarked on some pretty big tours throughout the big wide world. Then, the sudden announcement of frontman CJ McMahon’s decision to depart the band left the fans and no less the band in a bit of a shock.
This Friday the band performed in their native Australia and took to the stage with McMahon, who was quoted as saying :
“I was a drug addict, I was a broke musician, I had some fucking issues. I got married, I did some fucking soul searching and now I’m back to take over the world with my fine brothers.”
Personally I reckon that this will be a permanent announcement, I mean for one you can hear the defiance in the man’s voice and I couldn’t imagine the band with another vocalist.
