The winter is about to get a lot more frosty!
Announcing that they will be returning after their 2013 release The Underground Resistance, Darkthrone will once more be treating our ears to the freezing winds of permafrost that has been come to know as Black Metal.
Recorded and produced by the band themselves the new album, titled Arctic Thunder was written and recorded in the band’s old sessions studios The Bomb Shelter which was used back in the hey day of Darkthrone in the nineties and late eighties. Judging from the artwork as well it looks like we might be seeing a return to the classic Darkthrone sound.
Though currently there aren’t many more details surrounding the release no doubt there will be more in the coming months and a new song! Get excited Black Metal legions.
Arctic Thunder is set for an October 14th release via Peaceville.
