Opeth Release “Sorceress” Title Track

Prepare for minds to be blown.

Announcing their brand new album of the same name, today Opeth unveil their first track to come off the album. Title track “Sorceress” features everything that we have come to know from the band, save for the growling vocals but let’s not get into that juvenile discussion.

Presenting themselves as a reborn Prog band the track works brilliantly seeing Akerfeldt’s vocal style change somewhat from his classic crooning. Remaining in the five minute mark its a song that simultaneously takes you on a Progressive odyssey whilst grounding the listener with an audible anchor and the final section which will wet any Opeth fans appetite.

Straight from the horses mouth Akerfeldt had this to say :

“Here you go kids! Here’s the title track, ‘Sorceress,’ combined with the now obligatory lyric video. Why not, eh? We’re happy with the tune. It’s heavy, a bit “meat and potato,” but what the hell…we love it! Hope you do too!”

The band have also made preorders for the brand new record available in all sorts of shapes and sizes particularly for those with an affinity for the collecting of vinyl. Check them out here

Sorceress is set for a September 30th release via Nuclear Blast.
