This weekend the singer of Skindred was attack in hometown of Newport in Wales.

Returning back from a party with his spouse when it seems the unprovoked attack occurred. Whilst the singer was slashed across the face and throat, his partner Julie Christian was dragged around by a group of women.

Posting through Facebook the frontman states :

“Thank you all so much for all your concern and well wishes, it makes all the difference and means the world to us. As you can imagine, this has been quite an ordeal.”  The singer continues “Julie, fortunately, was not physically hurt but the whole thing has taken a toll on us both. For me to be slashed across the face and the throat, for Julie to be dragged around and spat at by a group of women who glassed me… Just know that we will rise about this and remain positive and in love.”

Being involved in any attack regardless of what you status in the Metal community might be is a harrowing affair and Webbe is no doubt incredibly lucky to be alive. We wish him all the support in the world and hope that both he and Julie recover from this horrible ordeal as quickly as possible, there is no place in the world for people like their attackers.
