Not only is the man at the helm of the biggest Metal band in the world but James Hetfield is an all around nice guy. No doubt you have seen the rounds of the man giving a guitar away to a Metalhead that is almost reduced to tears but here are just some of the things that have made the man’s year.

- Getting the best guitar sound yet, recording new album at HQ
- Watching my children grow. Especially Castor passing me at 6,2
- Meeting Robert Plant
- Jamming with Jerry Cantrell and my daughter Cali at A.F.A.C.. gig
- Baroness – Purple
- Shooting 308 Sniper rifle out of open door moving helicopter
- Pepper Keenan back in C.O.C
- Having fans on stage at gigs this year. Europe/Russia/UK/USA/Canada/ Brazil
- Justing Bieber wearing a Metallica shirt.
That is quite the impressive list Mr Hetfield, it’s comforting to know that despite the man’s massive success along with Metallica’s he’s just a normal guy that still gets star struck just like us (Meeting Robert Plant) has a family he cares for (see 3 and 5) and has impeccable taste supporting the absolutely awesome Baroness.
