Steven Wilson To Release 4½ Mini Album

Having stunned the world over with is concept album tour de force Hand Cannot Erase earlier this year Steven  Wilson plans on trying to own a small part of 2016 with his new mini album 4½.

Announcing that the man will be performing a small amount of dates in the beginning of the year we can also now reveal that the progressive Renaissance man plans to release a new mini album. Detailing the sessions from Hand Cannot Erase and The Raven the mini record will be a mix of four tracks from the unused Hand Cannot Erase sessions aswell as one track from The Raven That Refused To Sing and finally a reworked Porcupine Tree song which will feature a new collaboration with Ninet Tayeb responsible for the haunting female vocals on the latest album.

Bringing his usual cohorts along for the ride the beautiful artwork was of course shot by Lasse Hoile along with Carl Glover the photo encapsulates the ideas felt throughout the man’s previous album. Joining Steven Wilson will be his current band along with some favourites of Theo Travis, Dave Kilmister and Chad Wackerman.

Not quite meant as a full album, the mini album is set to bridge the gap between the astonishing Hand a Cannot Erase and Wilson’s as yet unnamed but perhaps becoming materialised in the singers mind as there seems to be a definite statement that there will indeed by a fifth album.
